My name is Manuel, and my girlfriend and I are looking for someone to rent our spare room for 6 to 8 months.
About us:
I work full-time as an educator at a school and, in the evenings, I offer counseling sessions as I am also a psychologist. I enjoy exercising in the mornings and spending weekends doing relaxed activities with my girlfriend or friends. I love cooking and making dishes to share, so if you're into homemade Mexican food, this is the place for you (we’re both omnivores). I also enjoy watching movies, TV shows, attending concerts, reading, and traveling.
As for my girlfriend, she works part-time, sometimes in the office and sometimes from home. Her hobbies include knitting, reading, music, concerts, watching movies (especially Studio Ghibli), staying connected with family and friends, and traveling.
Home Environment:
We value cleanliness and organization. We try to maintain a routine to keep the house clean and organized, and we take turns with chores. We expect the same from you, especially in common areas like the kitchen, living room, balcony, and bathroom.
Rent & Utilities:
The rent includes all utilities: internet (1000 Mbps), electricity, and the TV/radio tax. We also have a living room where you’re welcome to hang out, watch movies, have dinner with friends, play board games, or just relax. The living room connects to a balcony, which you also have access to.
We are both non-smokers and would prefer a non-smoker. We welcome everyone, including students, workers, and members of the LGBTQI+ community. The flat is on the 3rd floor in a quiet area with excellent public transport connections to the S-Bahn, U-Bahn, and buses. Ostkreuz is just 15 minutes away. There are also coffee shops around the corner and a Rewe supermarket just 4 minutes away. Additionally, we have a spare room in the basement (Keller) if you need to store some things.
The room and the flat are fully furnished; you’ll just need to bring bed sheets and towels. There's a park right behind our building. We're not big on partying—though I enjoy it a little more than my girlfriend—but overall, we prefer a quieter lifestyle.
Flat Details:
As shown in the photos, the flat has recently been renovated, though some rooms are still being prepared. I expect the work to be completed by the end of this week, so you can move in by February 1st. You can also register your address (Anmeldung) here.
Rental Terms:
The room is available for a maximum of 6-8 months. The security deposit is two months' rent, and it can be paid separately. I will be conducting viewings this week and will make a decision on the tenant within the next week and a half.
