Hey hey! My roommate is sadly moving out of this amazingly located apartment near Felsenkeller in the west.
The room is around 18m2 and has two windows toward a very calm street. There's a super-nice 16m2 room with crazy windows (see picture), which is currently my bedroom, and it will become a shared living room (I will take the 3rd room instead). There's some furniture in the living room, like a dining table, but the other than that it's basically empty. I think it could be a really cool project to furnish/organize the living room together :)
The kitchen has everything you might need (but no dishwasher). I got most of it for free from the people who lived here before, and I would like to replace some of the older things at some point in the future. There's a west-facing balcony, looking over the Innenhof/gardens, which gets a lot of sun and is amazing in the summer. Aaaaand we have a very large storage in the cellar (Kellerabteil), which is super useful.
Your room will be unfurnished. I have included pictures of the room when it's empty, as well as how it looks right now with my current roommate is living there, just for reference.
Probably the best thing about this apartment is the location. It's close to a lot of things, but at the same time it's extremely calm. Our street is closed for cars at one end, which means that the only traffic is from people who live on this street.
The tram stop Nonnenstraße is literally a 15 second walk from the apartment, and Klingerweg is around the corner. It's super easy to get to Hauptbahnhof, Uni, anywhere is the west, south, etc with public transport and by bike.
In the area there's an Aldi, a Rewe, pharmacies, bakeries, spätis, nice restaurants, etc etc.
About me: I'm 31 years old and I'm originally from Sweden. I've lived in Leipzig for a little over 2 years and I'm a freelancer. I have two freelance activities: music and translation. As a translator I work from home a lot, and as a musician I am away a lot for rehearsals, gigs, and tours. I play the electric bass – but don't worry, I don't play music at home :)
I really like socializing, meeting people and going to different kinds of concerts and events. In all honesty, my favorite thing to do is probably going for beers with my friends 😅 I'm passionate about language and linguistics and I'm also really into cooking. I'm learning German (slowly) but keep finding excuses not to speak it. I'm very easygoing and like getting to know people.
Ideally, I would like to live with someone that I become friends with. Although, if living together works fine but we don't have anything in common, we definitely don't need to hang out just for the sake of it and that's completely fine too 😁
The rent is €500, which includes base rent, Rundfunk, utilities (water, heating, electricity etc). The only thing not included is internet. We currently have free internet until May 15, and then we need to get our own and split the cost 50/50.
There's a security deposit of 2 months' rent, so €1000.
If you're interested in living here, please send me a message and tell me a bit about yourself. I look forward to reading it :)
