*Please only contact me with swap offers in Leipzig!*
*The flat in Berlin:*
The room is located at the Northwest corner of the building, on a relatively quiet street. The room is furnished with a couch that folds out to a bed, chair, desk, and bookshelf, as well as a bed with drawers that I can sell you for cheap :) The north facing window provides great sun even in winter, and the west facing balcony is great for watching the sunset. There is also a large beautiful pathos plant that has grown to stretch across the ceiling, which I will leave here as well.
The flat is located right at Rüdesheimer Platz, where the U3 is located. It is only one stop outside the Ringbahn, so despite the calm location, it is relatively central. Within a 3 minute walk, there is several cafés, bakeries, biocompany, a späti, and several restauraunts. The Rewe is a five minute walk away, and it’s only a 8 minute bike ride to Schloßstraße, where you can find almost any store you need.
As for your future roommates, Suzannah and Amelié are the other girls living in the flat. Suzannah is 24, (almost 25) and is currently working at a bilingual kindergarten in Mitte. She is originally from Manchester in the UK, and she loves going out to bars, and meeting new people, but also having deep conversations in the kitchen. Amelié is 23 and currently working as a volunteer at a French NGO in Wedding, but she might start studying soon instead. She is original from Annecy, France, and also enjoys going out with her friends, but also cooking and anything creative. Both girls are very friendly and looking forward to meeting you!
*The Room in Leipzig/About Me*
I am an international student from the U.S who will be starting a Bachelor’s program at the University of Leipzig in April. I’m 21, but I’ve lived in various different living situations over the past three years so I have lots of experience living with other people. I’m originally from a smaller town in the U.S west of Chicago. I first moved to Berlin to work as an au pair, but I ended up staying longer because I liked Germany so much :) I’ve been living here for a year and a half now.
As a person I am very relaxed. On my own time, I enjoy taking walks in nature, writing and reading, but also going out to a bar or cafe sometimes to meet up with friends. In general, I’m really looking forward to getting to know Leipzig more as a city. Most of my friends are here in Berlin, but I do have a few new friends from my program at Leipzig, and I’m looking forward to getting to know more new people once I move!
I am looking for a room in a shared flat that is at least 15m^2, and preferably located not too far from the center. And if there is a balcony available for all the flatmates to use, even better :) My budget is 250€-380€, and I would like to move in 1 April- 30 April. However, I am somewhat flexible with the room swap time frame. So we can communicate with eachother and try and figure out a time that works for both of us.
I do have a small cat named Nemo, who would need to be allowed to stay in the flat. I rescued him as a kitten when I found him in Bulgaria. If the room is big enough, I would have no problem keeping him in the room the majority of the time, if the flatmates preferred. However, it’s of course important that nobody in the flat has any allergies to cats. He is very cuddly and very sociable!
If you think it would be a good fit or you have any other questions about the room swap, do not hesitate to contact me! Looking forward to hearing from you!
