I moved here from California and my roommate Sophie is from Berlin
its in the posh and upscale neighborhood of charlottenburg/westend on kaiserdamm between Theador Heuss Platz stations and Kaiserdamm Ubahn. The Central Bus station is within walking distance, and so it the Messe/ICC Sbahn. there is a bus stop in front of the apartment as well
This is one of the best places to live because its on a main busy street, and less than a minute walk to Ubahn, Sbahn, and Bus stations. Ernst Reuter Plats is 4 stops away, Frei university is a 20 minute ubahn away. downtown berlin is a 15 minute Ubahn ride to go see all the touristic places (without living in the dodginess)
You're the safest in charlottenburg =) we know, we've lived here for almost a year.
Its a 3 room flat with no shared living room.
I live in one, my roommate (female 22) from England who also speaks russian lives in another.
There is a shared kitchen and bathroom.
We both work/go to school in the morning from 9am-5pm.
we keep our winter jackets and shoes in the hallway, along with umbrellas, hats, gloves.
everything else you need you pretty much have in your room.
all utensils, plates, etc.
Everything in the apartment is less than 6 months old
comes with the fastest wifi in berlin (100mbps)
rent is 500, and the extra 50 a month covers :
