Hallo,
I am leaving Berlin and looking for someone to take over the tenancy of my room. The room is full of natural light, quiet, clean and homely. It includes all the furniture shown in the pictures (single bed, desk, sideboard, clothes rack, bedside box, floor lamp and a little bin), wifi and utilities. With the room you have use of a small storage area (shown in pictures), and this plus the sideboard adds up to a good amount of storage for a small room.
The rest of the apartment is clean and practical. The bathroom has a full-sized bath and a powerful shower that's hot in an instant! The kitchen has ample storage and is fully equipped with fridge-freezer, oven and induction hobs, toaster and electric kettle. My flatmates and I enjoy cooking and find the room is functional and has everything you need.
The flat is situated a 5 minute walk from Pankstrasse (U8) and Osloer Strasse (U8 + U9) stations, and a 10 minute walk from Gesundbrunnen (Ring, S1, S2, S25). Less than a minutes away is an M13 and 50 tram stop. Many bus routes run through the area, including a bus service to Tegel airport from Osloer Strasse station. There are also a selection of supermarkets, shops and other amenities withing walking distance from the apartment.
Away from the main roads the local area is great for walking. There are many green paths, parks and playgrounds near by, and due to the local community containing a lot of families these are well used. A few hundred metres behind the apartment runs a canal with a path that leads to parks in both directions. Besides the canal is a library with free entry and a cafe. In spring and summer a local flee market is held every Sunday outside the library, with food and (cheap!) vintage clothing. There are many cafes, bars and restaurants etc. withing walking distance from the apartment; even a dance studio!
You will be sharing the apartment with a couple and single woman, international students from India and China. English is the main language spoken in the apartment, but the Indian couple also speak German. The couple are very friendly, warm people who like to socialise. The single woman is friendly but likes to keep to herself. We like to cook together, drink wine and play cards on weekends. The atmosphere in the flat is very chill. There are no strict rules within the apartment, but everything is kept clean; please be courteous and be prepared to do your share of the cleaning.
