My flatmate will be moving into her own apartment, and her room will be available in our WG. Furnished with single bed, desk, chair and wardrobe/table (as pictured)
The room is approximately 15sqm. It will be furnished with viewings/move-in possible from 3rd May 2025
Tall ceiling (altbau) with insulated windows providing plenty of light into the room.
The flat is on Emdenerstr. just off the busy and convenient Turmstr. in Moabit.
Less than 10 minute walk to closest bus AND Turmstr. U-bahn stops- Berlin Hauptbahnhof (10 mins) and Alexanderplatz (15 mins).
13 min walk to Buesselstr. S-Bahn, 20min to Bellevue S-Bahn.
Close to many resturants and supermarkets, including REWE, Eurogida, Bio Company and Penny, all within 5 minutes walk!!
Your flatmate (me): 35 y.o. male from Australia (speak English, learning German)
Mostly (50%+) work from home (but depends on future company policies). Travel a few times a year.
I cook one to two meals a day, I do eat meat, but not for every meal. (and I try to keep the smells to a minimal accross the house when cooking by closing the kitchen door).
Cleanliness is extremely important i.e. crumbs/food on floor/table are swept, dishes are cleaned after meals, shoes not worn in the home, trash taken out when full, soap grime is rinsed down the drain etc. No cleaning schedule but we shouldn't need to clean up after each other.
I respect my flatmates' needs/wants for privacy, expect the same (i.e. we don't enter each other's rooms unless invited).
Usually wind down around 10/11pm on weekdays, later on Fris/weekends.
The kitchen is the common area of our small flat since the bathroom is a private area :)
Electricity, gas, high-speed wireless internet are included in the costs. (you will need to agree not to download illegal content, alternatively you can arrange separate internet).
There is a modern washing machine and a coffee machine for use in the flat.
Anmeldung and length of stay can be negotiated. (ideally at least 3-6 months).
Radio tax to be paid directly to ARD.
