Hi everyone, since I will be leaving Berlin from 2nd February to 9th March to visit my family, I would like to sublet my room during these 5 weeks. I live in a 4-er WG. We are 2 woman and 2 men in this WG - One of the guys is often not there (he's a Pendler and is only in Berlin around 2-3 days a week), so you will be mainly living with two others. The other guy is a medical student and is doing his placement in a hospital around here. The lady is a dog trainer, so sometimes we do have a doggo at home. There are two dogs who regularly comes to us (they will never come at the same time though) and both of them are very sweet :)
In your applications, it would be nice if you could let me know whether you are ok with living with the dog. Since I am expecting a lot of applications, I will unfortunately have to ignore messages that are clearly copied and pasted.
My room is 20m2 with a balcony facing south. Anmeldung is unfortunately not possible. Rent is 470€ per month (warm and all inclusive, no extra fee for internet or laundry, TV-fee has already been included in the rent), so for the period you are staying here you would pay 589€. This amount is calculated by dividing the number of days you are staying over the number of days in a month, multiplied by the monthly rent. If you cannot stay here for the full period, you can pay by the number of days. The rent per day would be 17€. The deposit, for however long you are renting, would be 500€.
Apart from spaces in the cupboards for storing your things, a bed and a desk, I have also an upright piano and a monitor (you can connect it to your laptop) the you can use.
The WG is located right next to the Altstadt Spandau and around 8 minutes away from the Spandauer Acaden (where you can buy practically everything). Some supermarkets nearby are Edeka (5 mins away) and Aldi (2 minutes away). There are plenty of eateries in the Aldstadt. We are 5 mins away from U-bahn Rathaus Spandau (U7) and 8 mins away from S-bahn Spandau, where you can get on S3, S9 and many different Regios. Because of its very convenient location, you can sometimes hear sirens and cars outside, but since my window is facing the courtyard instead of the main road, you don't hear much of the noise when the windows are all closed.
We are no Zweck-WG - Although during the week we are all pretty busy with work, once in a while (around once a month) we like to sit together in the kitchen, chat and have a small glass of wine.
We have a cleaning plan - the kitchen and the bathroom are cleaned weekly. Each person is responsible for one week in the month for the kitchen, and another week in the same month for the bathroom. Things like emptying dishwasher or throwing out trash are done whenever needed. It has worked well so far, so we have never needed to assign a specific person for these jobs each week :)
We share a lot of cooking utensils and cutlery, so you won't need to buy them when you move in.
