PLEASE READ ALL THE DESCRIPTION!
The room is quite spacious (around 20 m2) and already furnished.
I'm leaving the city for some months so all the commodities will stay here and you can freely use what you need.
There is a balcony accessible from the door between the 2 large windows. I have few plants that make the mood cozy and would need some love while I'm away so ideally you would take care of those (it's really a once-a-week task).
Two heaters are in the room but the apartment is very well isolated both for sound and temperature, I rarely turn them on during winter, if not for 10 min just to make the room warm enough.
My cat Fiona lives in the apartment but basically stays in my room the whole time, so ideally you're not alergic or have any problem with that, more on that in the later sections.
As you can see from the pics there is a lot of my stuff around but I will make space for you of course so you can keep all that you need with you.
The neighbourhood is very quite, safe and relaxed, not really ideal for party people.
There's a lot of green all around, bigger parks are 10 mins away by bus. There are 4/5 supermarkets nearby all between 10 and 20 mins away by foot. There's also a pharmacy and many doctors working in their offices. Few restaurants are also close to the building but it's a residencial area, so not very crowded.
There are 2 U-bahn that can be used (U6 Alt-Mariendorf or U7 Johannisthaler Chausee) but both need a bus to be reached, respectively 10 min and 20 min by bus. Luckily the bus stop is 3 mins away from home and there are 4 buses going in both directions, so that during the day there's one every 5 minutes.
There's a flatmate living in the other room, he's young away most of the time for work, spends the rest of the day at home, especially the evenings. So the rooms are separated but all the rest of the apartment is shared: kitchen, bathroom and storage room, there's plenty of space for 2 people. The apartment is clean and we care about hygiene so we always clean after doing anything in the common areas and have weekly shifts of cleaning all the common spaces.
There are few points I personally would like to add:
1. As mentioned my cat Fiona will stay in Berlin and even though I have people that could take care of her I would prefer that she'd stay in her home here to avoid stress. My flatmate is ok taking care of her but Fiona likes to sleep here and spends 90% of her time in this room. So if you're a cat lover this can be a bonus :)
If you also want to cat-sit her during your stay, we can agree upon a compensation or discount from the rent. She's very sweet and quiet, actually she doesn't know how to meow properly so you can hardly hear her. The tasks would be very basic and we can discuss about them together.
If you have don't like cats, are allergic, irresponsible, sorry, this ad is not for you, her security is very important.
2. I have few plants in the room that i'd like to find alive when I come back :) There's no much effort needed, a couple of them need to be sprayed in the morning and because of the season all of them need water evey 10 days roughly.
3. We take care of the whole flat so I expect that the next tenant would do the same. Cleaning shifts are organized on a weekly basis to clean the common spaces but I also except a decent level of hygiene in the rooms. I will move most of my things but other will stay, so a deposit will be necessary and needs to be given with the first month. Of course it will be given back at the end of the rental period.
