I’m renting out my fully furnished room in our cozy 3-person WG in Friedenau while I go traveling for two months, starting early next year. The room is about 16 sqm – not huge, but very comfortable, with a double mattress, a small desk, a couch, a chest of drawers, and a clothes rack. We also have a large shared living room, which adds plenty of communal space. Rent is €500 per month, plus a small deposit for furniture.
Our apartment is on the ground floor in a quiet neighborhood with everything you need close by. It’s just a 4-minute walk to the Friedrich-Wilhelm-Platz U-Bahn station, and there are grocery stores like REWE and Denn’s Biomarkt within 5 minutes. The Walther-Schreiber-Platz area, with more shopping and amenities, is only a 10-minute walk away.
You’ll be living with Gaia (30, from Turkey), who speaks both German and English and shares an interest in yoga and spirituality. We have deep, meaningful conversations every now and then, occasionally do some shared activities and have regular overall check-ins. But she also really enjoys having her own space. The third roommate, Yasmine, lives almost exclusively with her partner, so it’ll primarily be you and Gaia sharing the space. We generally communicate in English, though everyone also understands German.
Both Gaia and I like to keep the space clean and organized, and we share regular cleaning duties, with one of us doing a more thorough clean every other week. We enjoy a calm, relaxed living atmosphere without lots of partying and typically go to bed relatively early. We prefer not to have party visitors at the apartment, though of course you’re welcome to invite some friends every now and then for a chill movie night in our cozy living room. We sometimes cook together, though we mostly do our groceries separately.
The sublet is available for two months. While it’s a shorter stay, we’re open to meeting people who might be interested maybe if you’re doing an internship or just want to have the Berlin experience for a short period of time. But it comes with the advantage of being fully furnished. Unfortunately we don’t have too much storage space tho, so it would be best if you wouldn’t bring to much of your own things as there’s limited capacity…but we can surely work everything out :)
We’re happy to get to know you in person or via video call. I’m happy to share any more infos on any leftover questions!
Looking forward to here from you!
