Hey girls,
I am soon moving away from Berlin, so my room will be available to take over starting February 15th. I have lived in this WG for a couple years with both of my flatmates, and because we have built such a comfortable, easy living space together, I’d like to leave them with someone who will also keep the same vibe going.
My room is about 13 m2 and faces the inner courtyard. So while we are located on a very busy street, it’s still pretty quiet and doesn’t get much noise. The room receives the afternoon/evening light and comes completely furnished. Rent is 520e per month, and the deposit would be 1100e. Everything is included in the monthly rent (water/heating/electricity/wifi) except the radio tax/bill, which is split evenly amongst us 3. The room will also come with the opportunity to anmeldung/register here, and the minimum stay is 12 months.
The flat is on the 4th floor with an elevator :) and it also comes with a new washing machine.
Location of the flat is also very central and in the neighborhood of Friedrichshain. The M10 is a 2 min walk away, u1/u3 about a 5 min walk away, the s-bahn about a 7 min walk away, and there are multiple bus lines in the neighborhood as well – so overall, you’re quite well-connected to any part of the city. Kreuzberg is just across the bridge, and there are tons of bars, restaurants, and clubs all around this area.
We are a pretty friendly flatshare – hanging out in the kitchen or in each other’s rooms, and tend to cook and eat together, also going out for drinks and meals with other friends together. I’ve been quite lucky to live with these two so I want to make sure they’re left with someone who is communicative, tidy/clean, social but also respects privacy. The common language in our WG is English, so it would be ideal if you are comfortable in this language.
When we moved into the apartment, we fully equipped it with all the kitchenware and bathroom things. The room itself already came furnished, however I bought a different bedframe, small lamp lights, small couch, drying rack, and a rug to upgrade my room and make it more suitable for a work from home environment. Because I’m moving soon, I’d like to sell all of this to the next person for 100e.
A little about both of my lovely roommates: both in their late 20's, early 30's, one is from Paris and works in fashion; and the other is from Bulgaria and works in tech. We’re all very different in terms of culture, language, and personality – but we’ve laughed and bonded over many things too, such as trying new foods and exploring restaurants, late night drinking sessions, funny Berlin dating stories, going to museums and art exhibitions, and in general, just enjoying and experiencing the life Berlin has to offer together. They’re both intelligent, friendly, funny, curious, and overall, just genuine, good people to share a home with.
If this living environment sounds like somewhere you could fit in, please message me a little about yourself and we can arrange a meeting to talk and show you the flat.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Nour
