This beautiful room will be freshly remodeled and even comes with a functioning fireplace!
The pictures are before the remodeling, so obviously it will look different and have different furniture afterwards.
It is superbright, spacious and will tastefully furnished, among others with a bed (min. 1,40 wide), a chest of drawers, a wardrobe and a sturdy table with a chair.
It still has the original stucco on the high ceiling (3,30 meters) and the original wood floors.
It will be available again after I finish the complete renovation and refurnishing, the latest by May 7th, possibly earlier.
For your convenience linens and towels are already included in the price.
In our bright flat you will find a bathroom with daylight which includes a Miele washing machine and a dryer and the heartpiece of it all is our huge (35 square meters) kitchen and dining room area in which you will find everything you might need (even a dishwasher), but most of all the community with the other women.
WIFI is also included.
The entire flat is beautiful, well kept, tidy, clean, quiet and sunny.
We also have a small balcony and a backyard that you can use.
Our apartment is conveniently located very close to the S-Bahn-station "Baumschulenweg" where you will find 6 different lines with trains leaving every few minutes. Line 9 takes you directly to Alexanderplatz, Hauptbahnhof, Zoo etc.
There are also 4 buslines.
Just around the corner is Plänterwald and Treptower Park where you can go jogging, take walks etc. along the river Spree.
There is also a public indoor swimming pool and a tennis club within 2 minutes walk.
Everything you might need for your daily life is right here as well (countless bakeries, hairdressers, banks, several stores and supermarkets etc.).
The area (Baumschulenweg) is rather modest and casual -and very safe; it has more like a small town feel to it, yet with the great S-Bahn-connection you are quickly where the action is.
You will share the flat with Kushi from India, who speaks English and Hindi, Azin from Iran, who speaks English and Persian/Farsi, and either me, while I am here, or another international lady, while I am working abroad (probably again starting end of September). I speak German, English, French, Spanish, some Italian, Russian and Indonesian.
I am strongly intersted in finding someone who does not just rent a room but is willing to be part of a community and to grow some connection. So authentic communication is the key.
I would like it if you were open to staying mid-long term, but we will start with a one year contract initially. My former flatmate was staying for over 6 years and now found a flat for herself in Baumschulenweg.
We are also still connected with all former flatmates that are still in Berlin through a whatsapp group and sometimes meet. Everyone loved it here, so we like to stay connected.
We are all friendly, helpful and respectful and expect you to be the same.
This is no Party-WG!
We take turns cleaning the common rooms of the flat every week. So every four weeks it will be your turn to clean the bathroom, hallway and kitchen/dining room. But also in between the weekly cleaning it is extremely important for me that everyone cleans up after themselves so we maintain all commonly used areas clean and tidy.
Everyone takes care of their own room and respects the privacy of the other flatmates.
International women are prefered because I know how important it is to have a decent and safe place when you come to a strange country, since I am a stranger somewhere twice per year myself.

Cleanliness and tidyness in the shared areas is VERY important to me! Please only apply if you can absolutely adjust to this!
Smoking is not allowed, nowhere, and I would like to stay clear of people with addictions of any kind.
Since I care a lot about the environment, I would greatly appreciate if you do not waste resources (water, electricity, heating, trash).
It would be a plus if you have a green thumb because we have lots of plants in our flat, but this is not a must.
Plenty of references are available.
Anmeldung (registration) is possible.
Minimum rental time: 1 year. Maximum can be (way) longer if all goes well. Please let me know in your first e-mail from when to when you might be interested in joining us. Please also state in your application if you have experiences with flatshares or living in community.
