WG-Zimmer/Wohnung

I am a 37 years old Finnish woman who is going to start a new job at the University of Twente in January 2023. I’m looking for a room in a shared flat/house or a small apartment. I would not mind starting to pay rent already before January if I find a nice room/apartment.

I have quite a lot of experience of living in shared flats and really like being able to have my own space as well as the possibility for social interaction. An ideal situation would be to share the apartment with an adult or adults who does/do not organize loud parties in the middle of the week but would sometimes like to sit in the kitchen, have a drink and chat. I am relatively quiet, and my current flatmates would probably describe me as someone who is easy to get along with. I know how to clean after myself but I’m not overly neurotic.

What comes to the house/flat, I’m pretty open to different options. Important would be that the place is in a decent shape (e.g., no mold growing in corners).

In my free time try to do some exercising (mainly running and gym). I would love to have more hobbies but unfortunately work takes quite a lot of my time. In the future I would like to participate a bit more actively in cultural and political events. Contact with other people is important to me and I like to learn about others in discussions, but also by reading books (e.g., Ian McEwan, Doris Lessing), watching films, etc.
