*You need to be a student at a university in Frankfurt and younger than 30 years old in order to apply. *
The room is approximately 14 square meters in size. In the morning you get the first rays of sunshine here. The room will be handed over unfurnished.
The flat share covers 95m², including a large kitchen, a spacious hallway, two bathrooms (one of which has a bathtub) and a cozy little balcony that can be reached via the hallway. We’re planning to make everything a little prettier together, so you are welcome to get involved.
On the top floor of the house there is a large roof terrace where you can barbecue and sit and enjoy the view over Frankfurt. There are also common rooms on each floor with couches that can be used, as well as a table football table in the entrance hall.
We also have a basement and plenty of space for your bicycles.
The student residence has a very pleasant location. Eckenheim/Preungesheim is rather quiet but still well connected. The U5 (Konstablerwache 12min / Hauptbahnhof 17min) runs right outside the front door, as well as bus line 34, which takes you to Bornheim Mitte in 10 minutes or to Dornbusch in 5 minutes, from where the U1,2,3, 8 lines run.
There is a pizzeria directly in the neighboring street, as well as a kiosk, bakery, a supermarket and pharmacy. Otherwise, Friedberger Warte is a maximum 10-minute walk or 2-minute bus ride away, with an Aldi, Tegut, small Toom DIY store, Rossman and another pharmacy. Tram 18 and bus lines 30 and 34 also run from there.
The UAS can be reached by bike in 10 minutes, Goethe University in 15 minutes. Both can be reached similarly quickly by public transport. The main cemetery can also be reached on foot in 3 minutes. The Lohrberg can be reached by bike in 10-15 minutes.
You will be living with Mina (25), Anika (24) and Rund (31).
Mina and Anika are studying German literature at Goethe University and Rund is studying art at the Städelschule. Rund comes from Sudan, which is why we would be happy to have an English- and German-speaking flatmate.
We enjoy drinking coffee on the balcony and cook together from time to time.
Mina likes thrift shopping and going to cafés. Also, she likes art and books. On the weekends she is sometimes in Stuttgart for family visits.
Anika works at the university alongside her studies, reads a lot, likes to go to the Mensa, the movies and loves to explore the world.
Rund also works at the university alongside her studies, she likes listening to music, reading, and hanging out with friends.
We're looking for someone who is keen on spending some time with us, someone with a good vibe. Preferably someone who is creative, studies something cool and doesn't eat a lot of meat ;) Of course, we also value privacy.
We have no desire for racism, sexism, LGBTIQ hostility and stuff like that.
We keep a cleaning schedule and pay €11 a month for internet (that’s included in the 330 Euros rent.)
The room will be available on November 1st. We would probably get to know each other via zoom first, as Anika is traveling in Guatemala and Mina is at home in Stuttgart. But we can meet again in person in October.
For a new extractor hood, kitchen shelves and the blinds in your room there will be a 30 euro charge.
We're excited to hear from you! Feel free to tell us about yourself and why you think that you would be the perfect fit for us!
