Helles Zimmer in 5er-WG im Zentrum Freiburgs

Wir wohnen beim Augustinerplatz, also mitten in der Innenstadt, Supermärkte wie Aldi, Edeka, Rewe, Alnatura sind 5-10 Gehminuten, die Unibibliothek ist 5 Minuten von hier. Da unsere Wohnung nicht zur Straße die Fenster hat bekommen wir fast nichts mit vom Lärm der Straße.


English:
We live at Augustinerplatz, so we’re in the middle of the city center. Aldi, Edeka, Rewe, Alnatura and a few international markets are a 5-10 minute walk away, the university library is 5 minutes from here. The train station is a 10-minute walk. Since our apartment does not have any windows facing the street, we get almost no noise from the street.

Wichtig zu wissen ist, dass wir eine deutsch-englisch-spanisch-sprachige WG sind und von einer Sprache zur anderen zu switchen zum WG-Alltag gehört, also solltest du bereit sein, auf englisch zu kommunizieren, da das die meistens gesprochene WG-Sprache ist, die alle verstehen.

Du wirst zusammenleben mit:

Anna – 24, studiert was mit Bio, Besonders gut darin, Lebensmittel für die WG zu besorgen; geht gerne in den aka filmclub, ins Kaffeehaus und ungerne auf der KaJo. Einzige, die nicht Spanisch spricht; wohnt neben der Küche und mags wenn Leute Lichter abschalten.

Luz- 24, will talk to you in English or Spanish, finished her Master in Linguistics, is working as a tourguide, likes rats and to fry her food; taught me the arts of coexisting (playing video games while she sits on your sofa)

Katie-28, will also talk to you in English or french, finishing her Master in Linguistics, working as a tourguide, likes to cook or bake delicious things, has an iron if you need one and an open ear if you need one

Clara -29, schreibt ihre Masterarbeit in Ethnologie. Die Erste, die nach dem Essen die Brettspiele rausholt. Lebt gerade mit einem Fuß in Freiburg, mit dem anderen in Frankfurt

Unser WG Leben findet größtenteils am Esstisch statt; Hier teilen wir nicht nur Essen, sondern auch Gefühle. Wir versuchen 1x in der Woche, ein WG Treffen zu veranstalten. Da kochen wir meist gemeinsam und besprechen noch Orga. Wichtig ist uns offene Kommunikation und das Ansprechen von Problemen. Hier soll jede*r das Gefühl haben, die Meinung äußern zu können und mit den Problemen in der WG oder Außenwelt nicht alleingelassen zu werden. Da wir in einigen Dingen wie zB Schlafrhythmus oder Partylaune unterschiedliche Bedürfnisse haben, versuchen wir aufeinander zu achten und Lösungen zu finden, mit denen alle können.
Bei schlechtem Wetter können die Grünis zu ziemlichen Drinnies mutieren. Deswegen werden Sonnenstunden gerne genutzt, um den Augustinerplatz als Erweiterung unseres Wohnbereichs zu nutzen. (Natürlich mit Kaffee/Essen/Thermorock ausstaffiert; Pluspunkte wenn du einen Campinghocker mitbringst).
Auch zu Demos trifft man die Grünis außerhalb der WG an. Bei Schwurbi Demos und Marsch fürs Leben dann aber auf der Gegendemo.
Wir sind jedenfalls eine freundschaftliche WG und haben Lust auf Gemeinschaft, aber es gibt auch Abende, wo alle ausgeflogen sind oder im Zimmer sind. Manchmal machen wir viel zusammen, manchmal gibt es auch Zeiten in denen alle ihr Ding machen.
Zum Essen: Viele der Sachen kaufen wir gemeinschaftlich. Läuft dann über die Splid App. Klappt ganz gut.
Zum Putzplan: Gibt’s auch, machen wir gerade mit einer fixen Aufgabe pro Person. Ist aber auch offen für Veränderung.
Zu Covid: Wir sind alle geimpft und geboostert, ein verantwortliches Umgehen mit der Pandemie ist uns wichtig

It is important to know that we are a german-English-Spanish-speaking shared flat and switching from one language to another is part of everyday life in our flat, so you should be prepared to communicate in English, as this is the most spoken shared language that everyone understands.

You will live together with:

Anna – 24, studies biology (?), she is especially good at getting food for the shared flat; likes to go to the aka filmclub, to the coffee shop and reluctantly on the KaJo. ; lives next to the kitchen and likes when people turn off lights.

Luz- 24, will talk to you in English or Spanish, finished her Master in Linguistics, is working as a tourguide, likes rats and fried food; taught me the art of coexisting (sitting on your sofa playing video games)

Katie-28, will also talk to you in English or french, finishing her Master in Linguistics, working as a tour manager (sometimes guide), likes to cook or bake delicious things, has an iron if you need one and an open ear if you need one

Clara -29, is writing her master's thesis in ethnology. The first to get the board games out after eating. Currently lives with one foot in Freiburg, with the other in Frankfurt

Our shared apartment life takes place mostly at the kitchen table; Here we share not only food, but also feelings. We try to organize a WG meeting 1x a week. We usually cook together and discuss organizational topics. Open communication and addressing problems are important to us. Here everyone should have the feeling that they can express their opinion and not be left alone with the problems in the shared flat or from the outside world. Since we have different needs in some things such as sleep rhythms or party moods, we try to take care of each other and find solutions that everyone is happy with.

In bad weather, the Grünis can mutate into quite a bit of "insidies". That's why hours of sunshine are often used to chill in Augustinerplatz as an extension of our living area. (Of course equipped with coffee/food/blanket; Plus points if you bring a camping stool). Also for demos you can find the Grünis outside the WG. Not at Conspiracy-theory-Demos and Marches for Life -there we are part of on counter-demo. In any case, we are a friendly shared flat and have a desire for community, but there are also evenings where everyone has gone out or is in their room. Sometimes we do a lot together, and there are also times when everyone does their own thing. To eat: We buy many of the things together. Then we put everyone in the Splid app to share the costs. Works quite well. For the cleaning plan: currently each person has a fixed task. But it is also open to change.
On Covid: We are all vaccinated and boosted, dealing responsibly with the pandemic is important to us
