The room suits as living room at the moment, but will be unfurnished, when you want to move in.
The room is on the south side of the apartment with a two windows.
Other information about the location within the apartment, you can see on the floor plan :)
The apartment is approx. 100 sqm in total. Of course you can co-use the kitchen, bathroom, extra room and living room. As I am mostly in the office, you can use the working/study room as often as you want.
Two important details:
- The apartment is on the 5th floor without elevator
- There is no balcony.
The location of the apartment is somewhat ambivalent.
On the one hand, the apartment is super central: you can walk to the main train station in 10 minutes and to Berliner Tor in 7 minutes.
It takes about 15 minutes to get to the city center, the Außenalster or Hafencity. You can also get to the important places in Hamburg very quickly by bike. And you can explore the beautiful and multicultural district of St. Georg on the way, with its lovely cafés, international restaurants and somewhat rough streets.
On the other hand, the apartment is very close to the S-Bahn tracks, which you can hear even when the window is closed. It doesn't bother me because it is a very muffled noise, but if you are sensitive to this, the room is not suitable.
Shopping facilities are 5 minutes away to a large department store.
A gym is around the corner.
I'm Nick, 27, and will be the main tenant. I started working last year and am usually in the office or on the road during the week. After work I'm usually out and about - doing sports (fitness, soccer, swimming, squash), at events in Hamburg or with friends in one of Hamburg's parks. Of course you can come with me anywhere.
In a few weeks, another one is moving in the second free room, so the community living together has to find itself in the next month.
I imagine that we cook together in the evening, eat and just chat a bit - with friends in the kitchen or a small room next to it - or with a movie on the projector.
You are always welcome to bring friends to the apartment or do sports with my mat and weights. Just make yourself at home.
When it comes to cleanliness, I'd like us to make sure that we put our things away straight away and also wash up the other person's things if necessary so that there's a basic level of cleanliness all the time.
I would love an international as I really enjoyed my time abroad when I was out and about with locals. It would also bring a bit of a new vibe to my 5-day working week. So if you are an Erasmus student or something like that coming to Hamburg for the summer, feel free to apply!
