Hey everyone,
Since I (Finn) am currently traveling South America and spontaneous extended my stay here for at least another month we're looking for someone to take over my room. From 1st of January you would be starting the rent until end of January with an option to possibly stay until mid or end of February. Rent is 620 Euro per month inclusive of everything (electricity, heating, internet, cleaning guy etc).
The apartment, a refurbished Altbau, is very spacious and has a lot to offer. It's spread across two floors, including two bathrooms (with two showers), a nice living room, a big kitchen and a second smaller living space connecting to our garden. In our garden we have a pallet sitting area, which is very nice during warmer days, nevertheless with still a lot of free space open for creative ideas.
The room itself is roughly 15 square meters big. It has direct access through a door to our lovely terrace and garden which is great in the spring and summer, and also just for getting in some fresh air throughout the year. There's some tables and chairs there for a nice private spot to chill with some friends if the weather suits. There's a bunch of furniture (bed, mattress, desk, chair, shelves) as well in the room which will stay in the room.
Our apartment is located as centrally as it gets. We are just 100 metres or so from the Reeperbahn, close enough to party but luckily also far enough to not hear the noises of the night as we're tucked away on a quiet parallel side street ;)
Being in the heart of St. Pauli, everything you’ll need is really close (various supermarkets such as Aldi, Lidl, Edeka, and the legendary Penny; Reeperbahn S-bahn and St Pauli U-Bahn stations; the Elbe; a lot of nightlife options and you might get spoiled eating out with all the late-night food available).
You'll be living with 5 other people from various backgrounds: Frank (27, Colombian) has been in Hamburg now over 5 years, selling pharmaceuticals at his full-time job and playing DJ techno sets as his full-time hobby and gettin the crowds moving in many clubs. Marco (29, Italian) works in engineering , runs his own separate side business and is an expert when it comes to Italian wines, but don’t ask him about tips to cook pasta (even though he is Italian). Lotte (22, German) is the sweet balance point for our living space. Always with time and energy to give some nice touches to our living spaces and a charismatic personality. Gabriele (27, Italian) has been living here for close to 2 years now and is doing a PhD at DESY. He is our basketball superstar and takes all our hearts with his amazing cooking skills and charm. Ruben (25, German) is a music multi talent who plays basically every instrument and is always up for a chat about anything! He‘s hiked around Germany for 3 months in his own tent so he is also very reflective and you feel a wholesale vibe living with him!
As you might have already picked up, we are good friends and do like to spend our free time together doing various activities, such as having drinks (at home or at a bar), parties, barbecues in our garden, playing different games, or just having dinner. Of course, we all have our own social circle as well, which we also share from time to time and know that everyone also needs some time for themselves, so we are all not actively involved 24/7. Since we all want to feel at home, it is very important to us to keep our place clean together :)
Also, the building we live in is full of young people which adds to the nice vibe of our WG.
If you've gotten this far and think that you like the vibe, please reach out to us and tell us a little bit about yourself. Don't forget to write “I want to live in the Kastle” somewhere, so we know that you actually read this! Feel free to message me on WhatsApp as well!
