The room is QUITE spacious, with two beds that can be put together. Furniture from the picture - shelves, table, chair, lamp, closet, are part also inculded. It has thick drapes to darken the room, but you can also enjoy daylight. I bought matte window foils for additional privacy. ☀️
The whole apartment is also quite big, renovated and with modern appliances (washing machine, dishwasher, large fridge with freezer, strong oven and cooktop, kettle - everything quite new). Noura bought the toaster and is happy to share it, there's also a microwave but I'm not sure if it works since we never use it. All the dishes and even pillows, bedsheets and a few towels are available, although I didn't use most. There's a balcony of decent size that I'm very fond of, because it looks at the indoor garden, and I'll probably miss it the most. I hope you could make my dream come true and plant a bunch of plants there. 😁
Bike storage is available in the basement, which I also consider a big advantage since I didn't see that people offer it often. 🚲
Bus stop is 2 mins away, tram station maybe 3-4 mins away and S Bahn station (1, 2, 3) around 8 minutes tops. Rewe, Aldi, Lidl and Rossman around 600 m away, and two smaller shops are closer. It's a quiet area, with a lot of parks around. 🌱
Big Paunsdorf mall is just 2 stations away with S- Bahn, there is a few bakeries and restaurants (fast food, Greek etc.) in the near. 😊
At least until the end of the year you would be living with Noura - she's very nice, polite, clean and quiet. She works in the hospital so I only see her in the evening, but it's always a nice person to talk to. You could also ask her for any kind of medical advice and she'd be happy to help! She also likes to cook and isn't shy when it comes to sharing her specialties. 👩🍳
When it comes to deposit, it's quite a large number and I would guess the reason is because you have basically everything from appliences so they had to protect themselves if you broke it, but they are new and seem quite sturdy so I honestly doubt anything could break any time soon, if you use it the right way. Also the landlord is definitely not a type of person who would ever check you on, so you don't have to worry about that at all. I currently pay 25 e for electricity because I used the same subscription as previous tenant, but keep in mind that it's quite improbable to use all of it and last year they returned the money. I think there are also cheper deals at Check24. One can find quite cheap internet (I found WiFi router for 12 e/month for example, and you could maybe even split that). Both DSL and phone connections are available and easy to install.
Just message me any more questions or simply let us schedule the time for visiting the apartment! If you're not available to do it live, I'll be happy to show you around with a video chat. 😊
