We’re looking for a new roommate to join our three-person WG in the heart of Magdeburg, right on Hasselbachplatz (Breiter Weg). If you’re looking for a central location, it really doesn’t get better than this. The tram stop is right outside the door, making it easy to reach anywhere in the city. The main train station is just a 15-minute walk away, and you’ll find all the essential shops nearby—Edeka, Rossmann, and a small organic store are right across the street, while Netto, Aldi, and Kaufland are just a short bike ride away.
The available room is the largest in the flat, featuring two big windows, high ceilings, and plenty of natural light. It’s a comfortable space where you can set up your own little oasis. One of the highlights of the flat is the balcony overlooking a quiet inner courtyard, offering a peaceful retreat from the city's hustle and bustle.
What the Flat Offers
- Spacious kitchen with enough room to cook and hang out together
- Bathroom + an additional separate toilet (so no long waits in the morning)
- Utility room for extra storage
- A peaceful, friendly building with other WGs and families
- Close to nature and city life—the Elbe river and Domplatz square are just a five-minute walk away
📍 Location – Hasselbachplatz, Right in the City Center
The apartment is located directly at Hasselbachplatz (Breiter Weg), meaning everything you need is right at your doorstep.
- 15–20 minutes to OVGU by tram
- 15-minute walk to the main train station
- Shops right across the street – Edeka, Rossmann, and an organic store are steps away, while Netto, Aldi, and Kaufland are just a short bike ride away
- Elbe River and Domplatz are only a 5-minute walk away, great for relaxing walks or outdoor activities
If you’re looking for a super well-connected and vibrant neighborhood, this is the perfect place.
You will be sharing the flat with Anh (27) from Vietnam and Poppy (26) from Thailand.
- Anh works remotely as a Data Analyst for a Berlin-based startup but calls Magdeburg home. She enjoys a cozy and relaxed WG where everyone respects each other’s space but also enjoys occasional shared moments, like cooking together or chatting over coffee. She loves staying active with badminton, running, and swimming and enjoys a BBQ in the summer. She also likes decorating to make the flat feel warm and homey.
- Poppy is a full-time student at OVGU, studying Management and Marketing. She is a passionate foodie who loves cooking and trying new recipes. She values cleanliness, organization, and a peaceful living space while respecting everyone’s privacy.
We aim to keep the flat peaceful, cozy, and well-organized. This is not a party WG, but rather a space where we can relax after a long day, focus on studies or work, and enjoy a warm and respectful environment.
While we respect each other’s privacy, we also like to have small moments together, like cooking a meal or catching up over coffee. To make sure the WG runs smoothly, we follow a cleaning schedule and share responsibilities fairly. We’re looking for someone who appreciates a calm, tidy, and friendly living space.
We are looking for a friendly, responsible, and respectful roommate who wants to make this place feel like home. The WG’s main language is English, so it would be ideal if you are comfortable speaking it.

If this sounds like a place you’d like to call home, we’d love to hear from you! Please send us a message with a short introduction about yourself—what you do, your daily routine, what you’re looking for in a WG, and anything else you’d like us to know.
We’re looking forward to meeting you! 😊
Since I am moving out, I am selling my furniture, which includes:
Bed with mattress
Sofa
Dresser
Desk
Two wardrobes
All of the furniture (except for the wardrobes) was newly bought from IKEA in November 2024 and is barely used, as I spent most of my time at my boyfriend’s apartment in Berlin. If you’re interested, we can discuss the price.
There is also a small Ablöse (one-time takeover fee) of 200€ for kitchen supplies and the washing machine.
