The room is large at about 16m2, with large windows almost to the ceiling facing South, meaning there is the possibility to get a lot of light in the room. If shade is desired, the curtains can be closed for almost total darkness. The room comes furnished with a bed, bedside table, desk, closet, two chairs, a mirror, carpets and a second fridge.
As the room is in a student dorm owned by the student union, enrollment in a Munich university is a must. An official registration in the apartment is possible.
Some indoor plants would be left in the room, it would be nice if the subtenant were willing to water and care for them, but not essential since they can also be left at a friend in the same building. A small, second closet might be placed in the room to store some of my things while I am away, in order to completely free up the rest of the room for your personal belongings. Since the room is quite big, this would not be an issue
The flat is located right at the southern end of Olympiapark, making it a very good and well connected location in Munich. You can walk to the park within 2 minutes. Edeka and Rewe are also less than 5 minutes by foot, and Lidl is under 5 minutes by bike. There are a few bus and tram stops right in front of the building which makes it very easy to travel within the city with lines 12, 53 and 59. Maxvorstadt, TUM and LMU are within 10-15 min by bike, and Hochschule München is within 5 minutes by bike.
You will share the flat with Jan, a 22 year-old, German aerospace engineering student at the nearby Hochschule München. Shared life in the flatshare is quiet but very friendly. In general everyone has their own things going on but one could always come forward for shared hangouts if wanted. It would be interesting if you have things in common with Jan, have a friendly vibe and very importantly that you keep the shared (and private) areas of the WG very clean after yourself and adhere to the cleaning schedule. Usually, each flatmate takes turns with the cleaning of shared parts every other weekend.
I will be gone for 1 semester due to my exchange between August and December, therefore this is a temporary accommodation. It is important that this is clear. There might be the possibility that your stay could be extended further into additional months in 2025, and it would be an advantage if you have the flexibility and desire to stay longer in case that becomes a possibility. This would of course be communicated in advance.
If you understood this please add to the beginning of your introduction that you understand this is temporary accommodation limited to a few months and whether it might work for you to stay longer if that becomes possible. And then please go on and give a short introduction of yourself. Photos or social media could be a nice plus.
