Hi ! A small room (8m²) is available in our friendly 3-person Altbau WG. In spite of its size, the room is very cosy and bright with a wooden floor. Several configurations are possible and it’s possible to fit a double bed (even if this might not be the optimal choice if you need a desk). There’s also the option to buy some of the current furniture if you’re interested.
The flat has two other rooms, a modern bathroom (with a bathtub!), and a charming Bavarian kitchen with a fireplace and a big dining table. Plus, there’s a small balcony overlooking the courtyard (perfect for sunny summer days). The balcony has lots of untapped potential 🪴 (but there’s plenty of time to make it cozy before summer).
Since we’re just taking over the flat, there’s lots of room for a (much-needed 👀) interior makeover, and you’ll have the chance to be a part of it and add your personal touch to our new WG!
The flat is located in the calm and charming Daiserstraße in Sendling (the most beautiful street in the whole quarter if you ask us).
The transport connection is very good: U3/U6 station Implerstraße is only 5 minutes away and S-Bahn station Harras a good 10 minutes (perfect for a week-end mountain trip).
Penny, Edeka, DM, and Aldi are just a few blocks away, along with plenty of bars and restaurants. Glockenbachviertel, Theresienwiese, and Alte Utting are all close by. In the summer, Westpark and Flaucher are just a quick bike ride away (perfect for a swim or BBQ after work or uni).
Victor is 22 (but looks like 25), is originally from Hamburg but has spent the last five years living in flatshares across France, Tunisia, and Germany. Since October, he’s been studying at the German School of Journalism, though he hopes there’s still time for his houseplants, long brunches, and cooking (unless the kebab around the corner is too tempting). In his spare time, you’ll find him running along the Isar, skiing, or just binge-watching some series. Also likes to scout for bars where an Aperol Spritz goes for under 6 euros. He speaks German, English, French, and is sort of learning Arabic (or at least trying to).
Jules, 28, comes from Paris (which means a regular supply of french cider and wine, saucisson and other culinary delights). When he is not working as a postdoc at TUM, he likes to go out with some friends for a drink or some nice food. He has only been in Munich since March so he still has a lot to discover. During the week-end, you can find him riding his bike along the Isar or hiking in the mountains (but most likely oversleeping in his bed). He really likes to cook (you’ll definitely try his signature quiche) and he is always up for long discussions in the kitchen. He’s lived in flatshares in New-York, Paris and Munich, so he speaks English, French and…..not yet German 🙈 ( although he is working on it, he already has a very strong relationship with Duo 🦉).
Just like you, Jules will only move in the flat on December 1st. Since this is a new WG, we can only tell you how we hope our flatshare life could be! Even though we’re both busy with studies and work, we’re looking for someone who wants to help create a warm, friendly WG (definitely not just a Zweck-WG!). We’d love to build a cozy home together with a bit of shared decoration, occasional meals when our schedules match up, going out for a drink now and then, or even enjoying a movie night together.
Ideally, we’re looking for someone around our age (between 24 and 30) who’s in a similar stage of life, shares some of our interests, and likes open, friendly communication. Strong English skills are important. We’d love to find someone who values tidiness as much as we do. If that sounds like you, we’d be really excited to meet and see if this could be a fit!
We’ve had several very good experiences with mixed-gender flatshares, so we would prefer to find a female flatmate to join the WG, but we are still open to male candidates :)
Congrats for having read everything !
Please tell us a bit about you, for instance what you’re doing in Munich or what you’re looking for in WG 😊
