Hello wg-gesucht people!
From the first of march a spacious room will be available in a big apartment in Arsenal, and we are looking for a new member for our nice shared flat. The room is 14 m² big and faces the park around Artilleriehalle, therefore gets plenty of light and is also pretty quiet. It will be handed over with a double bed, but for the rest it will be unfurnished.
Location:
The flat is located in arsenal Objekt 16 on the first floor. The 18 stop Heinrich-Drimmel-Platz is 200 meters away and the S-Bahn Station Quartier Belvedere is also easy to reach in roughly 10 minutes. The area is super quiet, safe and green, with Schweizergarten and belvedere within a stone's throw.
The Flat:
The flat is located on the first floor but still very bright during the day. It is 137 m² big and feels even more spacious thanks to its high ceilings. There is a super equipped kitchen with a walk-in pantry, 2 fridges, dishwasher, microwave and so on. A constant supply of Bavarian beer is also generally guaranteed. The hearth of the flat is for sure the 40m² living room, with as many as three (3!) sofas; this is the centre of the shared life of the flat: having lunch, drinking a beer, watching a movie/TV show, relaxing and chatting with friends, home office/late night office are all activities taking place here. Then of course there is a toilet (with a small sink) and a bathroom with bathtub.
Flat life:
You will live with Michi (33) from Bavaria, and Xav (23) from the UK.
Michi has been living in the flat since almost 2 years, and currently is doing a PhD in biology at the university of Vienna. He is a computer nerd, likes to cook a unique hybrid of German and Asian cuisine, drinks exclusively Bavarian beer, enjoys working out, watching movies and going out for techno parties from time to time. He's also considering buying a piano to brush up his music skills.
Xav is new in the flat, he's also doing a PhD at the university of Vienna. He's currently trying to learn some German with modest success, and in his free time either plays frisbee or naps.
Michi is the historical pillar of the flat, so there will be soon 2 new people to the mix. So far, the wg life has been pretty peaceful and communal, so we are looking for someone willing to share some moments together. Many times, we have friends over and threw a couple of very successful house parties. Of course, we also value privacy and alone moments. The flat is very clean, and we would love it if you were willing to help in keeping it that way; we have a rumba to help, but it also needs some support, love and maintenance from the humans. Ideally, we are looking for a young professional with a somewhat regular routine.
Costs:
The cost of the room is 656 euros per month, utilities included, and the deposit is 1560 euros. Minimum stay is for 1 year. We worked quite a bit towards to goal of having a smart home, so we bought some fancy (but also a bit expensive) equipment for controlling remotely lights, radiators and so on. So, there would also be an additional deposit for existing furniture and high-tech wonders, including the additional bigger fridge, of 900 euros (negotiable). It might seem quite a lot of money but overall, it comes with a lot of advantages and conveniences, so it’s a great investment for your comfort.
