Hello there!
In our warm-hearted 5-person flatshare, a beautiful room is becoming available in July.
The room spans approximately 7,5 square meters (plus 2 square meters for the high bed), with a price of 351 EUR, inclusive of utilities such as maintenance costs, electricity, gas, and internet. Also included are two food cooperatives (SoLaWi: Ochenherz and Ouvertura), through which we collectively fulfill a portion of our food needs, especially local vegetables and grains. Each flatmate contributes 20€ per SoLaWi/per month (40€ in total - included in the rent of 351 EUR). We would be delighted if the new person is enthusiastic about continuing to participate in our solidarity agriculture endeavors! We collect money into a shared wallet and buy food together, organize to go grocery shopping for the flat and frequently cook for one another. This is a cherished practice here, always vegetarian and preferably vegan.
The room has a built in high bed (Hochbett). It has a window with a view of the birch tree in the courtyard and is therefore very quiet and sunny. It is situated within a spacious, beautiful "Altbau" apartment in the 5th district very close to the main station.
There is kitchen, a big bathroom with two sinks and a shower/ bathtub, and a seperate toilet with a sink. We have various household appliances (washing machine, dishwasher, Vitamix, and more), we also have a small and cozy smoking room. There is a cellar for storage as well as an extra storing space within the flat.
We are looking to live together with people that share our feminist values and politics. At the moment we prefer to live in a non-mixed flat, meaning that everybody living here is a woman and/or a queer person. We are searching for someone between the mid-20s and mid-30s, who ideally envisions a longer-term cohabitation with us.
Prior experience in shared living would be wonderful, and a willingness to actively contribute and help shape life here is highly valued. If you would like to live in a home within a caring, solidarity-driven, and friendly atmosphere, please reach out to us and tell us something about yourself!

Directly in front of the door is the Bim stop Blechturmgasse (18).
Hauptbahnhof is 5 minutes away; U1, Schnellbahn (regional/international trains), 13A, O, D, 18, etc..
Wiedner Hauptstraße (6 min walk) there is Badner Bahn, 1 and 62.
There are many stores in the main station, or on the Wiedner Hauptstraße, we have supermarket and pharmacy near by.
Quartier Belvedere/ Schweizergarten are also near by and Alois Drasche park/Waldmüllerpark also 2 min away.
We enjoy living in a friendly and sociable WG, keeping a sense of community and open communication is of great importance to us. We - Jona (28), Lou (29), Lau (25), and Clau (26) - often gather in the kitchen for coffee, beer, or wine, sharing our daily lives, embarking on excursions, hosting movie nights, and celebrating together. At the same time, we also enjoy our quiet time after work and respecting each other boundaries. We embrace a queer-feminist, anti-capitalist, anti-racist, and anti-sexist ethos, and we hope that you, too, resonate with our values.
In the flat we mainly speak English, though German and Spanish are also commonly heard around our house.
Our interactions are rooted in open and honest communication, where empathy and consideration hold significant weight. In addition to handling practical matters in our regular organizational plenums (once per month) that sometimes take a bit of time, we also come together for ''Emo-Plenum'' (once every 6 weeks) where we create a space to delve into emotions and feelings, discussing matters within the flat and beyond. We've always shared all groceries and collaborate on household chores through a cleaning schedule. We are open to changes and put effort in understanding and bridging people's needs.
