GER: Wir haben uns entschlossen, die Anzeige in Englisch zu halten, um mehr Leute zu erreichen. Fühl dich aber frei uns auch einfach auf Deutsch zu schreiben! :)
The Situation🐌:
We currently live in the flat with five people.
Anna will finish her internship and move out by the end of August, leaving one room free in our WG!
The free room advertised is the one that is currently occuppied by Elli and Luisa (both moved here in October) - they will move to Anna’s current room since it’s more comfortable in terms of space for 2 people :) Filipa and Khalee (🐈) are living here since March and Tasida is our latest roomie who moved in in April.
Elli and Luisa will be in Norway for July and August so the room will technically be free from July onwards- meaning we have a FLEXIBLE MOVE IN DATE between July and Spetember :)
You should also know that Luisa plans move out at some point in the near future, but since there is no rush, there is also no set date - this would impact rent sharing since the wg will go from 5 to 4 people, but we would of course talk about how we share rent prices together before then :)
The room is next to the kitchen and has windows facing the inner yard so its not that loud. You could use Ellis furniture or just bring your own furniture :) but we can talk about that in person!
Our apartment is an old building which includes high ceilings, beautiful parquet floor and the whole apartment is not greatly soundproofed 🤣 The house has a little courtyard with a pavillon with a tabe so its nice to eat outside when its sunny!☀️
The appartment is located in the 12. district, pretty close to Schloss Schönbrunn. You only walk 5min up the hill until you are in the park where you have a pretty good view across Vienna😁
The apartment is okay connected to public transport. It’s 10min walk to U4-Bahn station Schönbrunn and about 15min to U6 station Niederhoferstraße. To the bus station Tivoligasse you would only walk 3min and from here you can fetch the bus 9A to Wien Meidling.
For grocery shopping we have Billa, Lidl and Spar in a radius of 10min walk. Also Meidlinger Hauptstraße with lots of cafes and shops is only 10mins footwalk away.
What is important to us about living together🌸:
We don't want just a purposeful flat; instead, it would be great if we have a friendly relationship with each other, can talk about topics that concern us, support each other, eat together, sit together, play games, do arts together.
We work on building a community centered WG, which means to us that we prioritise having open, direct and non violent communication about our needs and emotions; work on sharing or physical spaces, material goods and emotional aspects; work work on taking accountability for ourselves and others; building solidarity towards each other’s struggles, building intimacies and supporting each other. We have a community corner in the living toom where we share clothes, books, stickers and whatever else we want!
An anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-fascist, anti-specisist, body neutral, climate and mental health consciousness, neurodivergent and trans&queer-friendly consensus is important to us. We live mostly vegan and it would be cool if you would also be (mostly) vegan. 🍉
Who we are 🧚🏻
✨ Elli (28; she/her): I moved to Vienna with my girlfriend Luisa (also living in the flat) last October to start my master's program "Interdisciplinary Master for Human-Animal Interaction," and I'm really happy with it. I love going climbing, either outdoors on rocks or at an indoor climbing hall. I also enjoy spending time in nature, hiking, and camping. I'm always motivated to do creative stuff, even though I unfortunately don't get to do them as often as I'd like. I would also be all in for a creative pottery-crafting-painting or anything creative flat-day! Animal welfare and animal protection are important topics for me, and I am engaged in activism groups since I live in Vienna. Also living sustainably is important to me, and issues like climate change are important topics for me.
✨ Tasida (23; she/her) : I'm currently doing an internship at frauen*solidarität and will start gender studies in the winter. I like drinking coffee, swimming, cooking and baking. 🦋❣️But I'm actually up for anything :) I'm away for two months in the summer, but I'll be back in September.
✨Filipa(28; no pronouns/they): I’m originally from Portugal and have lived in Netherlands, Guinea-Bissau and Austria (in Vienna for 4 years)! I will start (2🙈) Masters in Social Ecological Economics at WU and in CDS in Angewandte. I’m passionate about research, arts and activism specially about degrowth, decoloniality, economics and intersectional feminism - some other things i value and engage with include mutual aid, repurpusing, neurodivergence queerness & non monogamy. I love to do many kinds of diys arts & crafts (crochet/crossstich/zines/jewlery/ceramics/etc) watch movies and animes, going to queer/solidarity events and parties, DJing (brazilian funk/afrobeats) been playing more boardgames and videogames, want to finally get a bike, and am trying to move my body more restoratively and freely through dance, trampolines & yoga. Recovering from a deep burnout so taking things slow and with empathy is important!
✨Luisa (24, they, probably moving out within the next few months)
Hey there :) I moved to Vienna in September and the last few month I was working in a WG for people with special needs. But I quit that job now to travel during the summer and start a masters programm (hopefully Internationale Entwicklung) afterwards. :) Apart from working/ studying I do a lot of climate justice and animal rights activism and I am also very into topics somehow linked to it and really like to talk and discuss about it. I also love being outside for outdoor sports like hiking, climbing or sleeping somewhere in the mountains. Additionaly I do artsy stuff, especially acrylicpainting and preferably on walls. :D
☀️Khalee: the 1 year old, antifa wg katzi from Guinea-Bissau, energetic, curious and food driven baby, with talent for some future catolympic competitions! she’s also a bit cuddly but all in her terms but mostly likes to bite and be chaotic💫 we share some responsibilities when Filipa is gone on small trips and leave our doors open so Kahlee can explore, so would be cool if you’d also be keen to participate in kahlee’s life!
Moving out in August:
✨Anna (25; she/her): I'm in Vienna doing an internship at the UN, just moved here 3 months ago from Heidelberg, Germany. I studied physics and work in cancer research, but I tend towards more creative things during my freetime, such as art projects, learning languages, making music or dancing! You'll most likely hear some music coming from my room, I have a bunch of instruments in there & I'm always up for a jam! Also, I'm really into Swing dance right now, and try to go to dance socials at least once a week. Looking forward to the summer season, to spend some time outside swimming and hiking and bicycling!
Just text us! Let us know how you feel about kahlee 🐈, our important living values 🍉 why you resonate with our add 🦋 and any fun facts about yourself🍓 (use those emojis so we know u read it ;))
Gerne auch in deutsch :))
